Thorny's Steak House In Myrtle Beach Horrendous Service ripoff Myrtle Beach South Carolina
My husband & I were in Mrytle Beach last weekend and decided to try Thorny's Steak House, which is supposedly the 'best' steak house in Myrtle Beach.
We got there around 11:30 AM on Saturday, right after they opended-there wasn't a big crowd at all, only a few cars in the parking lot.
So the host showed us to a table only about 5 or 6 tables away from his stand and near the bar. We waited for at least 20 minutes and no one ever came to take our order, tell us they'd be right with us, not even to get our drinks.
A waitress did come in right behind us to start her shift, she was too busy flirting & laughing with the Manager, who was sitting in the first table writing up the seating chart for the staff. She looked right at us several times, but didn't bother coming over to our table, nor did the Manager. We got tired of being ignored-after reading the menu 5 times-and just sitting there, so we got up to walk out; which was right past the Manager, who didn't even look up as we passed by.
That's one place that will never get our business and we wanted to warn potential customers about it as well.
I understand it's a tourist destination, but they must know that's where they get a majority of their business-from the tourists! It's not like we're cheap or anything-we planned on ordering a Filet Mignon & NY Strip, not to mention a ton of souvenirs from their shop.
Needless to say, we took our starving selves over to Broadway at the Beach, to a really amazing steakhouse on the water, and spent a hundred bucks on the most delicious steaks & lobster tails!
