thousand trails Open to the public??? Nationwide
My husband and I inherted our thousand tails membership. We were so upset when pulled into a campground and saw that it was open to the public. We loved the fact that it was private. Now there is trash along the water. People yelling and partying all night. Uncalled for. We pay $550 a year so we can camp in what we thought was a safe place were we could camp that was better then the national forests and state parks.
How can I get rid of this money pit that I have to pay on for the rest of my life?

They have always been open to the public, how do you think your parents became members? They took a tour AS PUBLIC before signing up.
No where does it say that they have always been private.
Have you tried reading your contract to see how you can "get rid of this money pit". I'm sure you would be well enlightened if you do.
