ThredUp is a clothing resaler. They send you a bag that you fill up with name brand, quality clothing and they pay you a percentage. The problem is that they reject most of the items you sned in with claims of being stained, showing excessive wear and tear, etc. really what happens is the clothing they reject is being "donated" adn I'm sure right into some other ersale business that they run but they make it out like it is donated to needy children.  Define donated adn define needy.  The things they keep and pay you for or not done honestly. I sent in a bag with many new with tag outgrown clothes, Gymboree, Hanna Andersson, Gap and some lesser name brands like Arizona and George.  They kept those to resell on their site adn rejected the higher end items.  I bet they make a very nice income on the clothes they supposedly reject. Wonder where they sell all of that to.  There are many, many complaints on the internet about them. Beware. SCAM. Theydo pay for some items and they do market themselves to the media well and they do have a professional looking webiste, but don't trust any of that. THey scam jsut enough to make a nice side income but not enough to be found complete scammers. They know how to run this operation and maintain a good profile to the casual consumer. Always dig deeper before doing business with anyone, especially this one.
