Thrifty moving Tal@movingreservations.com gave me an itemized estimate for moving items from Oklahoma to Florida. AFter loading my items on the truck I was told I would owe 60 % more due to wardrobe boxes not disclosed by me. Keep in mind that I paid extra and was told Fraud, bait and switch, changing the story, lies, disrespect for the consumer, called me a liar, unreachable, Dallas Texas
I was told by Tal at thrifty that I was in the best hands . Little did I know my biggest nightmare was unfolding. After itemizing my items with Tal and paying extra for Thrifty to pack my little one bedroom house I paid a deposit of 715.00 for the truck to show. After my psessions were loaded I was told I would owe 1600 more that Tal's "binding estimate " After a lengthy argument I agreed to split the overage with them just to get my items back. Now that I have paid another $800 in fees my items have disappeared, no one will return my inquiry on where my items are or when they might if ever arrive. I am supposed to start a new job, have just what I brought in a suit case and no money to go buy anything due to all expenses paid to move. I have filed complaints with BBB and DOT but both agencies tell me that these people have weeks to respond. My items will be sole by then. I will continue to share this story so one more person may not go thru a moving night mare.
