My mother purchased a helicopter ride on May 17th 2008. The flight was to be Saturday, June 7th 2008 at 1pm. I received the gift from my mother on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. She was told that I would get a 72 hour notice of where at Van Nuys Airport that I am taking this flight. Excited about my flight, I called Wednesday night, June 4th, 2008 (72 hours before the flight) and asked where I was to go take my flight. "Ed" said that he was "just getting around to calling me" and he gave me the phone number of the service. Happily, I called this phone number (818) 994-9376 and asked them where they were at Van Nuys Airport. They never heard of me nor had any reservation for me. I called Ed back and he said that it was a paper mix up and they didn't get thier fax. Ed said they would get it by morning and that this Van Nuys Airport service (later known as Group 3 Aviation) would call me in the morning and let me know. I didn't let it stop there. I called back Group 3 Aviation and talked with Claudia. She was very sorry for me, but said they don't deal with 3rd party set ups and that some was calling their supervisor and talking with them as we spoke. I called Claudia back, and she said this company was asking them to lower thier price and negotiating. Claudia said that their company doesn't work with 3rd party people, never did and never will.
By this time, I realise that my mother was conned. That night I checked out anything with ThrillPlanet.com on google. Lo and behold.... they scammed many people. I informed my mom and told her to call her credit card company to stop the charges. I then filed with BBB and thier lies they told and my truths finally paid off.
You wouldn't believe the lies that ThrillPlanet.com wrote on BBB! First lie was they claimed they talked to my mother on Friday June 6th and that she said I was sick! Bold face lie! They DID leave a voice mail on my moms answering machine.... that said they needed $30 more! They claimed that they called my mom on 4th of July several times... bold face lie. My mom was home all day that day. No phone calls... no messages.
BBB finally found that my mom was intitled to her money back.

Someone, please put this company out of business. Who knows how many people didn't know how to fight back for their money. So sorry for anyone who gave them a check or cash.

At ThrillPlanet.com, I first talked to Ed. He gave me his phone number of (770)405-1043. He is the one who said he will take care of it. He said the "supervisor" was gone for the day. I talked with a guy named Zak and a female named Elaina.
