Thunder Valley Casino Banned from casino Lincoln, California
Sovereign Indian Nation Immunity
Be forewarned that entry upon an indian casino property means entering a foreign land where you have no civil rights other than those determined by the tribe. They can act arbitrarily and capriciously in any manner they choose and believe they are above the law.
I was expelled and banned from the casino for no good reason, other than try to poke fun at myself with a buffet server over my inability to get a date. I have gone to the casino for 6 years, eat at the buffet 3-4 times a week, spend $2,000/yr there but don't gamble. That may explain it i.e. don't gamble, but I am not alone in being banned.
See the 6/18/09 article in the Lincoln News Messenger about 71 year old Lucy Taylor and her 77 year old husband being banned from the casino for showing a gag postcard to a cook in the buffet. She is filing a $1MM lawsuit for false imprisonment, coercion, violation of civil rights etc. For this supposed indiscretion their vehicle was stopped from exiting the casino, they were taken to separate holding tanks for processing off the premises and treated as if they were criminals. This is outrageous behavior!
It appears there is a pattern of abusive and harrassing behavior, not on the part of customers, but on the part of the arrogant casino security and management staff toward customers. This lawsuit will probably fail due their preemptive immunity. But, word to the wise. Do not patronize indian casinos especially Thunder Valley Casino.
