I took my car to Thunderbolt Transmission. Joe was my service advisor. I took my car up to them on the 7th of October and was told it would be a $1389 for a basic transmission overhaul and would take 3-5 days. I called them on the 12th and Joe said they hadn't test drove it yet. When I went there on the 7th I rode with a tech. (who new me from teaching his son) and he said everything seemed fine accept a small slip in the transmission and suggested the overhaul.

So I had to rent a car. I called them on the 13th and Joe still didn't have an answer for me that morning but would call me in the afternoon. After no phone call I called and he said he had been trying to call but write the number down wrong. I have the carbon of the estimate and my number is correct on. Joe tells me that it is going to need another $1000 worth of work on it!

They start working on the car, I guess, and he tells me it will be ready on the 15th. I call, still not ready. He says the gasket is leaking and will have one in on the 16th in the morning. I call on the 16th, he says it will be ready by the end of the day but I will not be able to pick it up so I tell Joe I will pick it up on Sat. the 17th. I call on the 17th and I am told that it is still not ready because the mechanic called in sick. It was supposed to be ready the night before.
