I used the ticketmaster phone line to purchase 4 tickets for a show in San Jose. I asked that they be left at will-call. The automated system asked for my first and last names for will-call, which I gave.

The next day, I saw that my bank account had been charged not once, but twice, for the same tickets. I immediately called the phone line, and after pushing sever buttons, and waiting for over 20 minutes, I spoke to someone in customer service. He told me that he was not authorized to issue refunds, and that he would have to send a request through his supervisor to the corperate office. He said that someone would get back to me within a week.

After waiting over a week and a half, and having heard nothing, I called them again. After going through the same thing as the first time, I explained that I had already spoken to someone and that they had said they were going to submit a request for a refund over a week prior. They said that they had no way to know what was going on with my claim, I would have to wait for a them to call me, and then promptly hung up.

On the day of the event, a Sunday, my friends and I waited over three hours in the will-call line, only to be told that there were no tickets under my name, and that I should call ticketmaster.  I tried calling, but the line said that they were closed on Sundays.

I ended up having to buy 4 more tickets at the event, at twice what I had been charged by ticketmaster.

The next day, I called ticketmaster again, and spoke to a "customer service representitive". I explained what had happend. They said that a refund request would be sent to corporate again, and that I would have to wait for them to approve it.

A month went by, then I decided to called them again. I was told that both of my refunds had been rejected, because I had authorized them to debit my account, and that I would not get a refund of any kind. I told them that I was going to report them forfraud, for over charging my account, and for not providing the service that I had paid for. I hung up

Then I called my bank. They were very nice and got both transactions refunded within half an hour. I figured that they would have more "lawyer power" than me.

I suggest looking elsewhere for your ticket needs.
