I ordered concert tickets online through Ticketmaster in late September. In late November I found a charge of $9.00 on my credit card statement and then found another charge on my October statement after doing some research. I wasn't sure where the charges were coming from so I called my credit card to dispute the charges.

Just a few days ago I got an email from Ticketmaster-Entertainment Rewards saying they cancelled my membership because they were unable to bill my credit card. I called them and advised them that they couldn't bill my card because I cancelled the account because I never authorized them to charge anything on my account. I told the representative that I never received anything from them and asked the representative what I was being billed for. He told me that I had the ability to go online and print out coupons to save money. I told him I never received an email from them stating that I signed up for the service and didn't know anything about it until they sent me an email stating that they cancelled my account because they couldn't charge my credit card. I also advised the representative that anytime I ever joined a service online I had always received an email confirmation. The representative stated that they didn't send out notices regarding membership unless there was a problem with the billing. I advised him that I disputed the charges with my credit card company and advised my credit card company that they were not authorized to charge anything to my account. I told him I wanted the account closed and advised him that I would no longer use ticketmaster and I didn't approve of how they were ripping off their customers. He said he was sorry for the inconvenience and would cancel my account. I received an email shortly after this phone call saying my entertainment account had been cancelled.
