Logged on to Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to buy tickets to the L.A. Opera performance of Romeo & Juliet. I blame the venue as much as this greedy ticket RIP OFF service. The venue doesn't list ticket prices nor does it direct you to their in-house sales. You left alone on the dark side streets of the Internet to be completely ripped off by this provider. A 500% mark up was charged. Seats were the worst possible and tickets were available at face value at the box office. Do you research before diving to the depths of hell to associate with these greedy, sleaze bags! You've been warned!!! I wish I had been. RipOff Report should have a button like VeriSign on EVERY vendor's site so that the streets might be just a little safer.

"A 500% mark up was charged. Seats were the worst possible and tickets were available at face value at the box office.  "

The only way that someone can charge a 500% mark up for the worst seats in the house is if someone like you offers to pay a 500% markup for the worst seats in the house.    Tickets are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.   If better face value tickets can be had at the box office, how are these marketing geniuses managing to stay in business?

Let's face it.  You were not ripped off.   You chose not to do your homework and ended up buying bad tickets at a ridiculously high price.     It is often the case that you will end up paying too much if you don't shop around.    Welcome to the world of free enterprise.
