Tidewater Motor c/o Ms. Adams ripoff, rude, lie about their willingness to help, keep changing minds, ubnoxious Chesapeake Virginia
If you go to get a car and here the words Tidewater Motor Credit, do yourself a favor, Do Not Sign A Thing!!!
We owed 7490.00 on a truck that they ripped us with 23% interest after Nissan said 13%. And then would not help my husband refinance or anything. A family member took the truck and paid payments for a while, but failed to continue or let us know we needed to take it back. A check she sent bounced and June's payment was due, with July coming up in three weeks.
Well, Tidewater decided we were three months behind even though we technically were not. SO I tried to get them to let us get a loan for payoff and they said they would garnish my husband's wages if we did not Western Union the money to them that night. Too bad for them. When we called telling them to waste their time with it, b/c the money was on the way, they jumped the payoff 500.00. So, I got that and sent it in registered letter. That was last Friday and they still have not called or sent anything back. So, tomorrow I am going to call and see what the devil is up.
Besides lying like dogs, they claim to care if you are having financial troubles. THEY don't. We explained that a family member had the truck and we had to go get it, and that maybe they had the money, etc., but they only cared that we were not paying. Of Course. and we were going to pay it. We have the payoff right there in our hands, and they wanted it yesterday. The "three months" we were behind was a play to be asses. WE technically were only one month late and one on the way to being late, and they wanted 3 payments "right now!"
So, avoid them at all cost, they are not understanding, all they know is money money money.
