Tiger Direct, Onrebate.com rebate ripoff Miami Florida
I purchased 2 computer products from Tiger Direct, an ASUS motherboard and an AMD CPU. Each product had a rebate. The prices were high but with the rebates they were good deals.
Unfortunately, Tiger Direct's rebate process is overly complicated, requiring online verifications and emails as well as the usual sending in receipts etc. Five weeks after I submitted both rebates (1 week after the rebate submittal deadline), I received a reject notice on the ASUS rebate saying that I had failed to sign the rebate form. The AMD rebate was accepted. I know I signed both rebates because I filled them out and submitted them at the same time.
No further info was provided. I finally found an email address to contact after seeing the many many rebate ripoffs by Tiger Direct which have been reported thru Rip-off Report.com. Now Onrebate claims they can't do anything because ASUS won't allow a resubmittal. Tiger Direct/Onrebate have quite a scam going here and someone needs to take legal action.
As for buying products from Tiger Direct, DON'T unless the pre-rebate price is worth it!

Dear customer-
In most cases we will allow customers to resubmit with a copy of the signed form but note that there are some manufacturers that do not allow us to take resubmissions or make corrections.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
