Purchased Acer computer (PO order no P7374721000024) Purchase price advertised as $399.99 WITH $170 rebate!.

Computer arrived in damaged boxes-carton left in front of my door.

I called Tiger Direct for authorisation to return computer SINCE

CD/DVD not working-refused to give authorisation but told me to call Acer-who advised me to ship the computer for repairs (note: have all documents, emails, fax copies etc). Computer returned two weeks later and functioned OK.

Proceeded to completet he multiple rebate forms and tracking numbers (so9me had two separate forms for ONE item with DIFFERENT requirements!!) I mailed the 6 rebate formas in SEPARATE envelopes as required. Receive OK for ALL except for the ACER COMPUTER which was for $100.

Sent muliple emails to Tiger Direct-spoke with multiple sales reps for BOTH Tiger Direct and Acer--BOTH refused to offer ANY assistance-and received the IDENTICAL email back from ON REBATE stating that the UPC tag was NOT included on the rebate form--I replied stating that the labels had been defaced from the boxes and i had reported that to BOTH Tiger Direct and ACER who said "YOU need to resolve your problem with ON REBATE--Finally got a Tiger Sales rep to give me--and they send you the SAME boilerplate turndowns! IT was MS VICTORIA RIOS at 305 -415-4410.

I faxed Ms RIOS ALL MY documents including THE ORIGINAL ORDER FORM AND THE COMPUTR SERIAL NUMBERS and STILL have received NO responses!! I also note that i still have NOT received the other approved $70 rebates!! I repeatedly explained that I CANT SEND THE UPC LABEL because of the carton and computer damage--BUT it appears that no one really cares. I also asked BOTH TIGER and ACER WHY that UPC number was so critical--Clearly Tiger records the Computer serial numbers AND UPC numbers

The answer i received fron On ReBATEwas "thats our policy!!

SO I payed $569.99 for a computer advertised for $399.99!!

I understand. What a mess they put you through. My rebate was also denied. I will never, ever, ever buy anything from Tiger direct. And never buy on on a rebate program, from any company. They're probably all the same.
