Tiger Direct ripoff Miami Florida
I placed an order with Tiger Direct over the internet, because I live in Jamaica they would not take my credit card and requested that the money be sent via wire transfer. I was wary of this, having been ripped off before. I sent the money to a friend of mine to purchase the items directly, but hurricane Wilma blew and damaged her home and caused a death, she was therefore unable to carry through with the request.
A asked her to lodge the money to Tiger Direct's account, and send a copy of the lodgement to tiger direct along with the order number. I called their rep. Gary Ayala who was handling my account to confirm the deposit, this was confirmed and a promise to send my goods to the shipping company I requested.
This was from November 2nd, the next thing I get an email to say they are waiting to verify the credit card. Now cash was lodged, and I responded, why would they be verifying a credit card when cash was lodged. They responded by saying I should call them. I have called several times since then and have not been able to get through as the numbers suddenly stopped working.
I emailed them, asking if this was a scam, there has not been any response since. The amount of money they have for me is $806.72, how do I go about getting my money back?
