Tiger Direct sold us worthless goods and products we didn't order Miami tigerdirect.com Ripoff Miami Florida
I purchased computer components from Tiger Direct. They shipped a "desktop migrator" that I did not order, and charged me $39.99. I told them that I did not order it and was told that it has a $30 rebate, so it will only cost me $10. I told him I didn't order it, he said it will only cost you $10. I reminded the sales person that there are hundreds of complaints online about Tiger Direct not honoring their rebates. He didn't care, he just kept telling me that it will only cost me $10. I finally contacted a salesperson that issued a rma for return. At the time I ordered, I was told that all parts that I ordered were in stock. We received everything exept the dvd, which is required to install the operating system. When we received it a week later, we discovered that the code sticker was missing on the disk, making the Windows XP worthless. My tech called Tiger Direct, and they told him to call Microsoft and hung up on him. After several attempts at trying to reach a supervisor I was transferred to the salesperson that originally sold the components to me. He said that he was the supervisor, and that there were no supervisors above him. He told me that I needed to give him my credit card number so that they could sell me another XP and that at my expense I need to return the worthless one to Tiger Direct. We briefly discussed the terrible service that I had received from Tiger Direct, and the salesperson, Robert Rago, told me that I could not return anything that I had purchased unless they were in the unopened box because they were electronic components. He was extremely rude and condescending. I told him that I would never buy anything from Tiger Direct again. He said "everyone tells me that", and that he knows that I will be back as a customer because he "has a second sense that tells him so". I also reminded him that I work in the computer industry and that the word of bad service travels fast. He said "everyone tells me that they are going to tell everyone they know how bad we are". He sounded proud of that fact. Hopefully they will credit me for the desktop migrator that I didn't order and the XP disk that was missing the code sticker. The fine print on the back of their packing slip says that they will accept returns at their discretion. Hopefully Robert Rago does not work in the returns department.
