So I placed my bid with this shipping cost in mind because I looked on tigerdirect.com and found the same item at this site http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1068250&sku=L23-6334
for $285.99 new and 27.00 shipping to my area keep in mind they are further away than minnesota.

when I won the bid for this item I was sent an email from ebay stating that I had to contact the seller to find out the amount for shipping to be added to the winning bid and to pay this through my pay pal account and this is what I was told by tigeractive after I had won the bid .

When I seen that the amount for shipping had went from 26.00 which was close to the one I got from tigerdirect.com to $88.00
I sent this email to the seller tigeractive.

Sorry about that. I had so many shipping cost requests and I must have replied to you with the wrong amount. The subwoofer is VERY heavy. so the new amount is the correct one

I then sent an email with the above link to this person to the tigerdirect.com store and told the person that the ammount of 26.00 I was quoted had alot to do with the total amount of my bid so that I would not pay more for a used item than i would for new.

I also called the post office this is the method I was told it was going to be shipped and I asked them what the cost would be to send an item weighing 55 pounds (I also found the weight on the tigerdirect.com)
There response was you guessed it $27.91 to my adress.
So I asked the seller once again why the price had jumped and I also told this person I have reserched this and this is what I found out and told the seller the above info and this person became instantly defensive and sent the following email.

If you don't agree with me then you don't have to buy it. That is how much is going to cost me to get it shipped to you. I don't have a car so I have to take a taxi and moving this thing alone is not something I look forward to. So it doesn't matter what you researched that is what I calculated to make this worth my time.

Again, if you don't agree just don't pay, you can simply look for another seller. Thanks and good luck.

So as you can see this person is trying to charge me for his taxi ride and his time to move it including the shipping but I was only told about the shipping cost and the other costs were added after the bid had been won nice hugh?

I then submitted numorous emails to ebay about this and they have done NOTHING to date?
I still show I owe for this item?
I have tried to leave feed back on this person but EBAY has to approve the feed back and still has not done this either?
So I asked Ebay, Hey does this person work for you or what?
and explained that I have sent the numorus emails to them to get this resolved but to no avail?
I was sent an email from them that said we need copies of the emails to tigeractive and I was like oh my god!
In all of the emails I had sent them I included all of the above emails in copied form and in attachments?
So I sent them once again and have not heard anything form them at all and still owe for this item?
So as you can see this is a mess!!!!
