I have been a longtime customer of Tigerdirect, and have never been treated so poorly. I have e-mailed them numerous times and have not gotten a single reply. Ultimately, the issue began when I was given a discount for circuitcity.com. Since I was building a new PC, I figured I would split the order between CC and TD in order to cash in on the CC coupon. When I placed the order, the coupon did not activate and therefore was not taken off.

I instantly called CC and informed of this mishap. Without even telling me what she was doing, the customer service rep transfered me to a 3rd-party service (one of those where you pay to get discounts). I knew right away this was not my issue, as I would never pay for a discount. So I called back, and received the same representative. She gave me another phone number (after I tried e-mailing her the coupon and she claimed she 'didn't receive it'.

Knowing that this was not correct, but wanting to give her the benefit of the doubt I again called a different 3rd party. Since this was incorrect I called back. this time I got a different CS rep, and was told my original rep got my e-mail and gave me another telephone number for... yet another 3rd party "pay for discounts" supplier. In my final calls to CC I finally received someone who had some idea that I was not PAYING for additional discounts. This hour long fiasco was not enough to make me stop using their service, however, their lack of response was.

I have forwarded this complaint to numerous CC customer care supervisors, without even the benefit of a response. What is the purpose of a customer care department who sends you to other companies to buy discounts? Customer care is the reason why I am tempted to not return. Newegg.com offers just as good of products and I have had nothing but the utmost respect from their customer service department. This is just sad.

While I am sure this part was just a typing mistake, someone at CC clearly accessed my account because they changed my first name from Brian to "4". TD if you cannot handle all the pressure of buying differnt companies, please stick to what you know best and stop sacrificing customer care for additional sales. You used to be number #1, now I dread the idea of calling you.

Just to be clear, my Report was issued against TigerDirect, and CircuitCity, both of which are owned by Systemax Inc. Since all customer service is handled through the TigerDirect customer care center, that is who I cite. However, I was not using TigerDirect's website, but rather CircuitCity's. Both companies are alive and well, even though they are exact replica's of each other. In case there is any doubt take a quick read:
