TigerDirect was selling the SAMSUNG 50" DLP Pedestal TV with a $200 rebate to bring the price to $1799. I cancelled an order I had for a 42" plasma with another company to take advantage of this offer. I took it with a smile when I was charged $200 for shipping. I live 84 miles from the warehouse and not only did they charge me $200 for shipping, but the shipping took a FULL WEEK.

Now, on to what this ripoff report is really about. I jumped through all the hoops for my rebate. I filled out the rebate form in its entirety, signature included. I attached a copy of the invoice, and also attached the COMPLETE UPC label that I had to cut out of the box. On the 2nd business day after I dropped this all in the mail, I get a cheerful email proudly announcing activity with my rebate status (onrebate.com)and a tracking number is included. I go there and use the tracking number and get informed that my rebate is DENIED due to incorrect UPC label. On the same page, they also politely inform you that you cannot resubmit once denied, unless they determine you are a "special case". They're getting a special case alright. I copied everything before mailing it, and this will be going to court. I don't care how much it costs me, either. They WILL MEET ME FACE TO FACE IN COURT.
