I purchased a D-Link DWL-G510 wireless card in December 2005. All the necessary forms were filled out correctly and on time for the rebate. After 2 months I thought I'd call to check on the rebate and this is where the SCAM kicks in. I called the rebate center at 1-888-222-9300 and immediately was transferred to an automated system and was informed my telephone number and name could not be found. As far as this outfit is concerned I don't exist! You can't bypass the system and request an operator until you provide the automated system with your information, if you attempt to ask for operator assistance the system states, "you must provide information first and then you will be transferred to an operator". Good luck, I was on hold for 29 minutes and an operator didn't pick up at all!

I called TigerDirect sales, (had a sales representative in seconds) and spoke to a gal named Terry who explained that I can go to the rebate center, dowmload the guarantee form and fax it over to her attention. Well after reading the gaurantee agreement you need to provide postal tracking information in order to receive your rebate.

You name one person who would even think of asking for tracking information for a rebate and I'll eat me hat!

This in my opinion is absolutely criminal and must be stopped.
This is exactly how innocent people become victims.
