After seeing lots of interesting gadgets my friends had purchased from Kickstarter I took the plunge on a $199+ 3D printer in early 2015. A year later and more than 20 "updates" no printer, while the price of the technology plummeted. I understand small startups are going to have delays but each update suggested that they were just turning the corner. Still if they had said I lost my money I would have understood, businesses fail. No they had the audacity to state that they were shipping and that the original shipping which was not pre-set but capped at $65, would in fact be $55. That seemed like a ripoff but having waited more than a year and a half I paid the $55 for "shipping". I paid to have my item I prepaid for shipped. Six months later nothing was shipped to me.

Today Tiko 3D sent out a notice saying it was tough not telling everyone what was going on but we had to lay everyone off and we are not giving any refunds.

Perhaps they fired their attorney before someone explained taking shipping funds and not shipping is evidence of fraud.

They are still hooking people and are looking for investors to build up a new business with the patents and tech that was created with our money. I have seen a lot of unethical practices but these people are taking it to a new level of blatant theft.

BEWARE THE TIKO RIPOFF!
