Tim Green With Lucid Magazine ,Lucid Magazine doesn't pay their writers & prints their stories with out permission. San Diego California
I worked for Lucid Magazine in San Diego during their launch last year. I wrote the fitness, and health & beauty articles. After about 2 months of working there, I was let go & told that they were not going to use my articles. We had agreed on a fair payment for my time there & when I was let go, I was handed a check for $100. This was not the amount I had negotiated. Tim Green is the owner & he couldn't even fire me himself. He had a friend do it. I tried to talk with Tim & get the remainder of what was owed to me & he ignored all my calls & emails. I never got paid.
When the magazine came out, I saw they had used my articles. They are taking advantage of writers and not paying them for their work. To make matters worse, I received my W-2 tax form in the mail from Lucid. It says I was payed four times that amount, which is not true. Now I have to deal with them again. Writers should beware of working for them, I'm not the only person who has filed a complaint.
