Complaint Review: Tim Xie

I am reporting an unethical business which is ruining Dr. Pimsleur's reputation. Dr. Pimsleur was a famous linguist and his language learning theory and principals are popular in the area of foreign language teaching. The Pimslerur language courses (in many languages) are really well designed. I use it in my Mandarin courses.

However, the business selling the CDs is really unethical. The want you to receive the products and call and cancel the serivice of keeping sending you all level course until the advanced on. I ordered Spanish I and they continue to send me II. The recurring charge of course happens and I accept them. I called to see how many peyments there will be and found they are going to send me III and IV in about six hundred dollars. I asked to stop and cancel the service but the representative has been trying to pursuade me to keep the account. 

I don't think this is a good and ethical way to do business. What's more, he told me that my account is not accessable online and the only way for the customers to reach the companyis calling. This is really not a good service that I expect. That ruins Dr. Pimsleur's reputatio, I am afraid.

Hope that some joint efforts can be made to stop this type of unetical business.
