Timber Lodge RV Resort ANOTHER UNSUSPECTING SENIOR CITIZEN RIPPED OFF BY TIMBER LODGE RV RESORT. Eagan, Minnesota

In August of 2006 we purchased what we thought was a membership with Coast to Coast RV Resorts, with Timber Lodge RV Resort as our home campground. We dropped C2C and then tried to cancel the Timber Lodge part of the package, and was told we could not do so because it was a lifetime membership, all-though he words lifetime, lifetime membership, or lifetime contract are no where mentioned in our contract. We have never used the Timber Lodge Resort facility and have no use for the membership as we do not live in that part of the nation.

We paid the initial purchase price of $495.00 plus $99.00 per/year for five years and have notified Timber Lodge by mail that we will not pay any more dues or maintenance fees. We received notice on 11-30-12 that the issue was being referred to a collection agency.

We have consulted with our attorney and are ready to do battle if necessary. We have also notified by mail the FTC (federal trade commission) and NAM ( national association of members) as well as Minnesota BBB. We are preparing a complaint to be filed with the Attorneys General of Minnesota, Texas and California. We refuse to be intimidated by Jim Jerde or anyone else at Timber Lodge or their collection goons.

We would love to talk to anyone willing to consider a class action law suite or who has successfully beat this outrageous scam. (((ROR redacted)))

I cannot with good conscience try to sell the so called membership to another unsuspecting person, nor will pay Timber Lodge to sell it. I canceled our membership with Timber Lodge and therefore have no further obligation to TLR.

Our records indicate Danny and Shirley Justice purchased a membership to our resort in August 2006. That the membership agreement is an industry standard agreement.

On September 29, 2012 M/M Justice contacted our office requesting cancellation of the agreement. That on December 6, 2012 responded providing several options in which to cancel. That the guaranteed resale and prepayment program options are not provisions of the agreement but were offered in good faith in order to accommodate their request to cancel the agreement.

That additional options were also provided including, but not limited to, advertising the membership on their own using a variety of recommended media methods such as Craigs List, Ebay, RV periodicals and local newspaper classified advertisements or including the membership when selling their recreational vehicle. We provided all the information and methods successfully used by other members in the past. That some of these advertising methods can be done with little or no cost to the member. We question of these options which one(s) have they pursued?

That all of these options remain open to M/M Justice, or should they wish to provide a reasonable alternative option we would be willing to consider it.
