A vendor came to my office and offered us to TRY out their product. After trying & giving the unit back, we received a bill stating we're in contract.
My dental office was visited by a sales rep from Mr. Cool Waters Inc. and offered us to TRY their product, a water cooler. The rep told us to try it out and if we didn't like it, they'd pick it up, no problems, no questions.

After two days of actually trying out the unit, I told my assistant to call Mr. Cool Waters and tell them to come and pick up the unit. They said no problem. After about 3 days, the unit was still on our property. I didn't want us to go over the trial grace period, so I called them and told them that I would drop it off to them if they were having trouble getting to me. Once again, they said they were on their way. The actually did come and pick the unit up after a week and a half later. I didn't think there was anything else to do, they had their unit back.

The next month, we received a bill from Time Payment Corp. as if we agreed with keeping the unit. I told them the situation and they told me that I was under contract. So, I immediately called Mr. Cool Waters Inc. and they told me not to worry, they'd resolve the mishap. The next month comes, and another bill. I am pretty frustrated at this time, still having to deal with this ordeal. I call Mr. Cool Waters Inc. back and someone else answered the phone and stated that Mr. Cool Waters was no more. I asked why, they said financial problem. Then I realized that I had definitely been scammed.

I received another bill and a letter stating that Mr. Cool Water's contracts were purchased by Time Payment Corp. First, I don't recall signing any non-cancellable contract for 60 months, secondly, I never paid anything to Mr. Cool Waters or to Time Payment Corp, and lastly, there wasn't anything on any form that stated that I would be in a contract with any third-party company. Now, our balance is over $500, and Time Payment Corp. is now threatening to report us to collections.
