Time Share Savings Network/First Freedom Mortgage Group Ripped off by Time Share Savings Network Davies Florida
We were contacted by someone at Timeshare Savings Network in September. I was very reluctant to sign with them because I heard about these type of companies, but we were anxious to get rid of a bad investment (a timeshare).
The sales person, who called me, transferred me to Rick Volk. I assume he is the "closer" because of his persistance in trying to convince me to sign with them. I told him no but he called and called for 2 weeks. Finally, my husband decided to go ahead and sign with them, but at half the cost they were quoting. I believe we paid around $400.
The contract was emailed to me, but there were numerous mistakes in it. I explained all the mistakes but was never sent a corrected contract. After I printed it out and made my own corrections, I was trusting (or just plain dumb) enough, to sign the contract and mail it back to them. I did not enter my credit card number on the contract however, but they have my signature.
I sent an email to Rick Volk a couple weeks ago asking for my money back due to their failure to sell my timeshare as promised. He replied a week later explaining the company went out of business because the government shut them down. I have tried to find something on the internet relating to this "government shut-down" but have found nothing.
If these other ripoff reports had been posted when I was researching this company, I would have never signed with them. I just hope someone reads my report before they sign on with any of these crooks who claim they will sell your timeshare.
Never did I think I would fall victim to one of these scams, but I have and it's a lesson well learned.
