Time To Move, Moving And Storage, Inc did not pay settlement offer, did not respond to presure from investigating agencies (BBB, Illinois Att. Gen.), will not send settlement amount that they offer Chicago Illinois
I used Time to Move for my move from Illinois to Florida in August 2003. They damaged many of my items.
I submitted a claim to their office and they responded with a settlement offer of $1281 on 11/11/03, I accepted the offer on 11/15/03.
To date (5/9/04), I have received no money. I have contacted Time to Move numerous times. I have written to the Illinois Attorney General, BBB, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. None of the aforementioned companies have been able to help. Each has tried with the exception of FMCSA, who is not interested.
To conclude, I have been ripped off by not being paid the settlement that Time To Move offered. Please help. Thank you

forget about the government agencies ...Small Claims Court ASAP

I would forget about the government agencies trying to help.
If you have a written settlement agreement take them to small claims court right away. You don't need an attorney and if they don't show you can get a default judgement against them. If they do show, it should be a pretty slam dunk case.
In either case it will cause them extra work and headache.
Good luck.
