I was contacted back in September of 2009 by a representative who said they had a buyer for my timeshare and was told that they needed $2000 upfront to release my information to the buyer.... needless to say now they have my money and I still have a timeshare.  I never got a contract, I never received any information regarding a the buyer, and whats worse is I can't get a call back from my rep or anyone else at that company.  It is no surprise they have an F rating with the BBB after only 8 months of being in business. I wish I had known all of this from the start but thats what you get when things seem too good to be true.

IF YOU ARE CONTACTED BY THIS COMPANY HANG UP AND CALL THE FLORIDA ATROURNEY GENERAL AND FBI!

Timeshare Sell Now worked for me as well...

Hello all, I was just wanting to share my good news as with everyone, Twitter might not have been enough.  I just read the post above and must say that Timeshare Sell Now worked for me as well...I just got my certified check from them.  It took a little over 3 months for the job to get completely finished but it actually worked.  I paid almost 1600 in transfer fees to get it out of my name, but the family does pay the closing so it wasn't  so bad.  The best part is I'm actually out of the timeshare.  Just thought I would share with everyone as I know there are a lot of companies out there that are just trying to get your money.  Timesharesellnow.com gets two thumbs up from me.

I have also fallen for this but not from this company...I paid a company called Vacation Properties Plus about 1700.00 to do the same thing.  They called me and said they had a buyer, they clearly used the same tactic telling me that they needed the money to release the buyer info.  I would not have done anything like this if I wasn't dying to get rid of the timeshare that I had, but overall everything sounded good.  I paid them and of course 4-5 months went by and I still had my timeshare and no check.  I could have avoided this by doing the research on this company and for the most part that is the biggest thing...You have to research these companies.  Mega Media Marketing does have an F rating which you would've seen if you checked the BBB before paying them...I'm no smarter as I paid Vacation Property Plus who also has an F rating on the BBB.  I no longer just pay companies who say they are going to do things.  On the bright side of things I did eventually get rid of my timeshare...how you ask?  I went through Timeshare Sell Now. I researched them thoroughly, I found no complaints online or on the BBB, they are located in Greenville, SC which is different than all of the other companies who seem to be located in Florida.  They called me like every other timeshare company.  The biggest difference is they don't call you and tell you they have a buyer.  They called me and asked me if I was still entertaining offers, I of course was as no other company was able to help me...and that includes the 3+ companies I paid to advertise it.  Timesharesellnow called me back and let me know how much the family was approved for.  That is when the timeshare is sold, they made the family sign a right of rescission form meaning the family cannot back out of the deal which is very good.  The bottom line was I did pay something to get out of it but it was not to release the buyer info (that doesn't even really make sense)...what I paid was my transfer fees to get the property out of my name.  It all came out to about 1,500.00 on my specific Branson Woods timeshare but it was completely worth it.  I recieved my check in about 3 1/2 months which was a little longer than they mentioned but I did receive it.  Some tips in reselling right now: The economy is not good and these timeshares are luxury items so I had to come down on price.  I wanted 14,000 and I got 11,500...yes I lost a little but for all of the years that I didn't use it, it was completely worth it.  Please feel free to reply if you want to know who else I paid in regards to listing companies....Good luck out there.
