I wanted to rid myself of my timeshare. I looked online and checked with the BBB online to see what reputable companies where out there to do this. On October 13, 2008 I contracted with Timeshare Rescue "to take the responsibility of my timeshare off my hands". I checked in once a month with the company to check the progress of my timeshare changing hands. Each time I was reassured that it takes time and it was in process. At the beginning of March I tried to check in with them once again to check the progress. Only this time the phone number had been disconnected. I decided to check the BBB to see if they had any updated information on the company. Since the time I checked their website in October till March over 30 complaints were filed against the company and their rating had been removed. I filled out a complaint with the BBB and they forwarded a response to me on March 31, 2009 that the transfer was in process. I tried to contact the company through the number the BBB had forward to me and that number had been suspended. I talked with another company that informed me that Timeshare Rescue was in the process of filing for bankruptcy.
