Tip Top Tow excessive charges Santa Monica, California
My car was towed afternoon on a Thursday, I picked it up at 1:30pm on Sunday. Basically, my car was held for 2-1/2 to 3 days maximum. Yet, they charged me for 4 full days.
Additionally, their website says that they are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. When I came to pick up my car, they charged me an additional $80.00 for a "gate fee". I asked the TipTop Tow employee what "gate fee" meant, and he said it meant they were supposed to be closed today.
Despite the fact that their web site specifies that they are open 365 days, 24 hours a day. What should have been about $300 at the most, became $432. At the least they are guilty of false advertising on their website and for overcharging.
