I went to this salon several weeks ago to make an appointment for my hair to be done for my wedding on August 30, 2008. The woman running the store, by the name of Indi, asked me to place a deposit of $70, which I did. She wrote my name and the date of my appointment in a book of hers, then she gave me a piece of paper with the amount of the deposit on it, along with several business cards. I called Indi on Monday, August 25, 2008, because she was supposed to do a trial of the hairdo that evening. As it turns out, the store number on the business card was disconnected. Then I tried calling her cell number, but her voicemailbox was full. The following day I went back to the store, but to my dismay, it had been closed down for good. This woman, Indi, apparently knew very well that the store would be going out of business but still asked for a deposit. With my wedding coming up this weekend and other salons booked in advanced, I have no one to turn to. This woman not only stole my money, but she has ruined my wedding plans. It would seem that she had performed this same scam to many other innocent victims as well. Since she has a license in this line of work, I believe that she will possibly open another business elsewhere and perform this scam all over again to countless other victims. It is my hope that this scam artist and her accomplices are caught.
