In March of 2004, I purchased 2 Bridgestone tires from Tiresplus, and them placed on the back of my car. Then in May of 2004, I had purchased 2 more Bridgestone tires, and had the ones that I purchased in March moved to the front and the newer ones that I purchased on May put on the back.

Since then my passenger front tire has been leaking air. I have taken my car into Tiresplus at least 5 times to have this repaired, and everytime they say that it is fixed. On 9/25/04, I took my car into Tiresplus to have them replace the tire, per an employee by the name of Nick, that advised me that instead of trying to fix it they would just replace it for me since I have the road hazard warranty on all 4 of the tires.

About an hour later when I returned to the store I was told by a gentlemen by the name of Tony, that I later discovered was the Store manager, that the tire had not been replaced. Tony advised me that all they did was, put my tire in a machine and but 90 psi and that the machine showed that there was no leaks in the tire. I said "If you say so, well if in the near future I notice that it is leaking I will bring it in once again, but at that time I want the tire replaced."

About 1 1/2 weeks went by and my husband noticed that the tire was leaking air again, but there is a catch to this, the tire that was leaking that was on my passenger front had been moved to the passenger back. At first I thought they had rotated my tires, so I looked at the other side and the same tires were in the exact same spot as before.

I was livid that they would switch the tires, and not tell me this by the way, I have 2 small children and I feel that they put my life and my family lives in danger. The tire would get so low there would only be about 12-18 psi, just after putting air in the tire 2 days prior. I called and spoke to Nick, and I advised him of what Tony had done to my car, he was very apologetic, and advised me to come in on a Sunday, when Tony was not there, so he could just go ahead and replace my tire for me without having to deal with Tony.

Today, 10/31/04, we drove into Frederick, MD and discovered that Nick did not come into today, so I spoke with Eddie, who is the Service Manager, he was also very apologetic, and I advised him of the converstaion that I had with Nick. Unfornuately Eddie could not service my car today, because he had to many cars already to service so he advised me to come in later in the week after 5pm, and they would replace my tire. I also advised that because of this I want something else worked out, then just a new tire, because I feel that this was VERY, VERY, unprofessional, and still feel that they put my family in danger.

So I will see how this goes, and one other thing, I have never, ever had any problems with a service garage like I have had with Tires Plus before.

One bad apple

#2Consumer Suggestion

What is it you want worked out, Let me guess, you were inconvenienced and you want something for free. Sounds to me like you're having a problem with one individual and not the Tires Plus Company. Unfortunately, the actions of one individual can adversely affect the reputation of an entire company. Rather than bad mouth the Company for offering to resolve someone else's incompetence, find a way to lay the blame on the individual responsible. A good management team will always offer many ways to resolve a dispute and maintain good standing within the community.
