I searched online for the tires I needed then made an appointment. There was an ad "buy 3 get 1 free. The tire sold for $114 ea. I printed the sale estimate for both 4 tires at $445.92 plus junk fees and an estimate for 3 tires plus junk fees. I also printed a coupon from their site in which the consumer is told to present at the time of purchase for the free 4th tire. When I arrived I presented the printed estimate from their site with the cost of the 4 tires and also handed over another coupon for the free tire also from their web site.
After some figuring by the counter salesman I was quoted a price of $464 and some change for 4 tires. I told the salesman I was'nt getting a discount. He started talking in circles and stated that what they would do is take about 25% off of each tire and that's how they arrive at my discount. I then produced another estimate for the same 3 tires from their website for a total of $334.44 plus junk fees and he said that the estimate for 3 tires didn't include evrything at which time I showed him that both estimates had the same fees on them for incidentals i.e TPMS, tire disposal etc.
He then countered with "but that doesn't include taxes". I asked what was the tax base and he stated 8% I added that percentage and showed him we were still over a $100 apart on his final figure. He wasn't willing to give me the tires for the advertised price and I certainly wasn't going to pay any more than was advertised, so the wife and I left. After reading some reviews/complaints against franchise owners around the country I feel fortunate that they didn't get their hands on my vehicle. This franchise may have legitimate businesses, I don't feel that the one in Conyers is My advice is to stay away from the TiresPlus on Dogwood Dr. in Conyers Ga.
