I am a current employee. this store is lacking of staff, organization, budget. they have untrained management. Raises are only aprrox 30 cents at a time. too much work and responsibility are put on one person. the return policy is too lax. they accept anything on returns. cleanliness of this store is terrible. continually have a now hiring sign but never hire anyone while other stores start off at a higher rate. people that call in on a regular basis continue their employment.

they have instore security but they "never" catch anyone. as for management out of four managers only one really knows what they are doing. corporate constantly visits for no real reason causing undo stress and anxiety on the staff.

I currently work for the reported company and i can agree with most of what the complaints above but to me that is what comes with a job. The company is very flexable and is a good job for students and moms/dads who just want to get out of the house. Its not really a career, and once you have the job one can quit for a period of time then come back, as long as you dont lose your job for something stupid like stealing. What kind of company has that kind of security.

I quit the job for 6-months to look for something better, something that will work with my college changing schedules and pay better. and trust me there is worst out there. At least TJ Maxx is wonderful about giving people breaks (which in the state of florida is not required).

Not to mention at TJ Maxx you get to work with a lot of great people. I work with the most unique bunch and i just love it. And the customers are extreamly dedicated to the store and i love them too. I know the requlars by name.

My advice to the complaier is that dont let the job stress you out, if you dont get all of the work that is expected so what they are not going to fire you (they only do that for extreamly serious reasons and you deserve that), so relax do what i do when things stress me out, go out and hang with your associates at the jewerly counter or fiting room or buy yourself something nice.

It is a discount retailer.
So you cant expect much from working there and i think i have more to complain then the person above but i first need to go within the company before i post it on some web site.

I, too, have worked in retail, although not at the company you are employed at. If you don't like the way the store is run, why not find another place to work?? It sounds like you take your health very seriously, and if this job stresses you out to much, it's probably time for another job. Also. please keep in mind that most managers have a higher up putting the pressure on them as well!
