TLC K9 Academy Bill Glatzel Chargd my credit card $250 prior to the service, and even after the service was cancelled in a timely manner, he will not refund the money. phoenix Arizona

I contacted Mr Glatzel with TLC K9 Academy on 9/26/13 to discuss training my dog to be an emotional support for my young daughter who has a severe separation anxiety issue. At the time we set the appointment for Sunday, 9/29/13 at 3:00 pm. Mr. Glatzel informed me during that phone call that the fee for the initial consultation on Sunday 9/29 would be $250.

The next morning, my husband and I discussed this further and decided the fee was excessive. I contacted Mr. Glatzel via phone 9/27 at approximately 11:00 am (more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment) and cancelled the appointment, stating I would contact him if we decided to use him in the future. In neither conversation did Mr. Glatzel inform me he was going to charge my credit card regardless of whether we went through with the appointment, and I gave Mr. Glatzel plenty of time to reschedule another client into the time slot we vacated.

Mr Glatzel reports he sent an email that indicated all of this, but as I had cancelled the appointment, I never read the email. Mr. Glatzel is now stating the fee was for scheduling the appointment and is non-refundable. This is such a scam, as no services were performed. He states we have 3 choices: make a new appointment, give the appointment to a friend as a gift, or just eat the cost. Not acceptable!
