i purchased $125 clothes at Dockers' as instructed and got the air tickets request form later on.
I filled out the form and mailed. I got a letter from TLC saying that my form was incompleted.
I have a copy of the form mailed out as a evidence that the form is complete.
I called TLC but its all voicemail. They are not taking any calls. They are doing the fraud!

As I mentioned above I felt things were going slow with them but in the end I got a call and a representative set up my stay, so as far as I know I am now booked. The person on the phone was very polite. A couple things you should know...

1. You are required to pay the taxes on the room, and they will ask for your credit card number over the phone.
2. The hotel listed was not available, however, they are able to book at other hotels in the vicinity so that's a good thing actually.

cheers

I have also sent away the hotel voucher claim as of 2 weeks ago. They have sent it back saying I did not complete the form. I did however complete it enough for them to do something with it and their lack of effort in fixing seems to be a tactic in order to get as few people as possible able to claim the rewards.

Because it took them so long to return this letter informing me it was incomplete, I have had to completely reschedule things to try and get within the 30-day advanced dates they require cause apparently it takes them 4 weeks to make one phone call to a hotel. And if any single date you mark on the page is not within 30-days of the postmark they will once again disqualify the entire claim rather than take a look at your other choices.

I'll be sending my "completed" form back out tomorrow well in time for them to receive it. Let's see if they come back with another excuse not to honor the voucher claim. To me these stalling tactics by companies are what's wrong with the world, so be warned from any offers that sound too good to be true. If they do not honor my claim I'll be contacting General Mills with my complaint. If they do honor the voucher, I'll come back here and let you all know how long it took and what happened in general.

How to get your free promotionals out of TLC

#4Consumer Suggestion

I had a reasonably positive experience with TLC marketing. At first I could hardly believe the free offers that General Mills was giving away on the side of cereal boxes. My husband was sceptical but I thought since I have to buy cereal anyway why not try it. I sent in enough codes to TLC to redeem for a maid service and was advised this was not available in my area. I called the conceirge line and they agreed to exchange this for another offer of a free hotel night stay. I was given a number to call which as others have noted rarely rings to an actual person. At first I got in touch but I didn't have a credit card handy for the taxes for the hotel which are not included so I had to call back. I left many messages. They were all returned but at odd times. First thing in the AM, 4:55 in the pm. You would never know when they were going to call back. After many attempts I finally spoke with a representative who asked if she could call me back (it had been a month) so I said that doesn't seem to be working does it? She allowed me to hold on the line and after 30 min got back on the phone and I got my free night stay. It was a lovely hotel. The moral of the story is that you have to be persistant with some of these free rewards especially ones that offer something of value for a purchase worth a fraction of its price. I spent $50 in cereal and got a hotel night stay worth $100.00. All told I am satisfied. Also the cereal included tickets to various attractions for free which I enjoyed while away. I recommended TLC to friends who redeemed for family portraits and manicures and all they had to do was call a number once they got their voucher and book. Another friend called for a free hotel stay and booked it right away. I will learn to have my credit card handy next time.
