Immediately after agreeing to a "free" membership, I called long before I ever received documentation about program (NEVER have received two $50 gift certificates promised, to keep even if not satisfied with program).  The program was "Travelers Advantage", assured with apology that I cancelled, I would never be charged.  Months later I noticed a reoccurring charge on credit card I rarely use. I called number to be given a run around before speaking with supervisor.  The supervisor assured me I HAD previously called to canx mbrship however I didn't canx the "Shoppers Advantage" program (to which I've NEVER received ANY information on).  Again, an apology with reassurance that the 3 mths I've been charged will be credited back to my credit card; I should see credit within the next two statements.  I have reported company to BBB as well as my bank as fraudulent; they will assist me on watching credit through.  If you get a "feeling" after agreeing to a program, trust it!  Canx and see it through.
