Complaint Review: TLG Great Fun

My husband and I were paying our bills and I noticed that we received a bill for a credit card that we had already paid off. I hadn't used the card in a few months so I was curious as to why we owed money. I looked at the charge on the bill and it said TLG Great Fun $12.99. The service charge was almost $15. I called my credit card company to see if they could tell me a little more about the charge. The man on the phone said it was something that I had signed up for back in October to automatically charge my account every month. He even gave me a 1-800 number.

When I called the number, I couldn't get in touch with anyone. I waited for about 10 minutes and still nothing. Finally, I got online and googled "TLG Great Fun." I saw that other consumers had filed Ripoff Reports on this company. When I called my credit card company back, I talked to a different person who had heard of the scam before. He was very helpful and credited my card with all the charges that were made as well as the finance charges. It came to about $170.

My husband and I booked our honeymoon through Orbitz back in October with the same credit card. That must have been when it happened. I'm just glad my credit card company (Bank of America) was so helpful.
