TMI Global - Be Prepared for Disappointment Portsmouth, New Hampshire
I was hired through Microtech Staffing Agency to work for TMI Global. I walked in with an open mind and was ready to work from the very beginning. I knew it was a temp to potential hire, but wasn't at all prepared for the outcome.
The people were nice (small company) and referred to me as 'one of the team.' The entire time I was prepared for my official full-time hire through TMI, especially from all the feedback I was receiving. This couldn't be further from the truth.
I left work yesterday saying, 'see you tomorrow morning' and they all responded in the same way. After about an hour of being home, I received a call from Microtech saying I wasn't allowed any contact with the company and that I was not suppose to report into work in the morning.
No warning, just a disappointment. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through because there was no warning. One day you're working, and the next you find out you're unemployed without any notice whatsoever. I was told by a coworker that the company has 'no secrets.' This also couldn't be further from the truth.
Seeing as I really enjoyed my coworkers, I feel like I can't trust them and lost a LOT of respect for the man who runs this company. A good businessman would have been able to tell me a reason why it wasn't going to work out and not let someone else tell me I wasn't suppose to report into work in the morning and not share any reason for it.
I feel like I was being used for my services the past three months. Next time I think they should hire a cleaning lady and someone who can go and pick up their food for them because this was almost all I did (some emails/quotes, besides). If you want to be challenged and grow as a person, do NOT work for this company. I was their b***h, or intern (for lack of a better term)...or, at least that's how I feel I was treated by working here.
