On craigslist.com I found a posting for a studio apartment at the Archstone Clintion building for $1600/month. I looked up the actual apartment website and the cheapest room was starting at $1000/month MORE then that, so I emailed (aricstone.james@gmail.com) to see if she was just looking for a room mate. Marie Claude Clavuad emailed back w/this story about how she's in London on a 5 year contract and so the aparment rent is $1600/month flat, everything included. I work w/on-line dating scams every day as part of my job, so I could tell from the dialect that this was probably fraud, but just to be sure I asked her for the apartment manager's name and what floor her room was on and she refused to provide me with that information. She insisted that before she give me that, she needs to know I'm seriouse and she wants me to send her the first month's rent through this website http://www.tnt.com/country/en_generic/services/special_services/timecritical.html and that it's exactly like DHL or FedEx and then she'll send me the keys...yeah right. KEY ADVISE...if it sounds too good to be true then IT IS!!! Never ever send any money to anyone over-seas or even in the country w/o checking in w/their info first.
