I was sent this email:

Hi

Yes I still have the laptop. But there is something that I didn't mention in the post.
Please bear with me on this. I am now in United Kingdom. I have been relocated here with my work several months ago. I don't need the laptop anymore so I tried to sell the laptop locally, but with no luck. I was offered silly money for the laptop because of issues like - it is a US version or it runs on 110V or that it has a US keyboard format. That's why I'm trying my luck in the US.
Since I can't meet you and make the exchange, I found a service that will help us with that. Click on the link below to learn more about the service:

TNT is a worldwide delivery company but it is better known here in the UK. You can see from their procedure that you will be able to check out the laptop before I receive the payment. In this way the both of us can be at ease. I will use 2 day delivery at my expense.

Thanks.

To which I responded:

Honestly I don't see anywhere on the provided website where there is information about this type of exchange.  Also sorry for being skeptical, but this type of transaction reads "scam" all over it.  If in fact you really have a laptop to sell, you might consider selling it through Ebay or some other known & trusted site.  Please explain further or provide the webpage of the "TNT" company that outlines this procedure.

Then I got this:

Hi

I understand your concern but this is not the case. I'm just trying to sell my laptop.
Oops, I forgot to include the link. Here it is:

Thanks.

After doing an internet search for related scams I found all the listing's here at ripoffreport.com

I saw the same posting but it was on craig's list for Cincinnati. I knew the price for this Mac airbook was to good to be true.  So I went ahead and emailed the person. She emailed me the next day and told me her name was Arianna Steinheimer. She included the specs. and pictures of the laptop. And she had the same moving company website url and the same logo at the end of the email. And when I went to the moving company's website, the whole web site looks like it was set up with a few keywords repeating over & over again on every page. So I knew something fishy was going on. I'm glad I did a google search on this. These people need to get a life and quit trying to scam other hard working people of their money.

I found a similar ad fir a HDTV with almost exact wording.  The reply to my first e-mail response was exactly the same as this one.  I would not recommend doing business with this individual.  After reading this I canceled the conversation.
