Complaint Review: TNT Moving Services

During the course of moving our household furniture and goods from one home to a new one, TNT Moving Services caused major damage to furniture and camera gear due to negligence, improper procedures and care on their part. An office cabinet was bumped into, causing it to fall. The cabinet contained $7,000 worth of Nikon camera gear. The gear and the cabinet was all damaged in the fall. The desk wedge hutch was damaged when one of the movers pushed it into something else on the moving truck, causing a hole to be punched through the wedge hutch backing. One side rail to a king size sleigh bed was damaged, there is a 3 inch piece of moulding completely gone. When all of this occurred, Trent stated that he knew TNT was at fault for the damages, and that he would make things right. He now denies any fault, ignores any attempts of communication, and has not made one single attempt to assist with repairs or replacement of our belongings. I have paid out of our own pocket to repair and replace the camera gear, it is equipment I need every day for my business. I have also replaced the damaged cabinet hutch top, but the other furniture is still damaged, waiting for Trent to send someone to make the repairs. We would contact this person ourselves, but Trent refuses to provide us with the contact information. As of today, we have spent over $3,000 of our own money due to TNT's refusal to assist or communicate. In addition to the damage to our property, TNT did not complete the job. They left so much furniture still to be moved, my husband and I spent half the next day moving the rest ourselves, proving that TNT did not allocate proper resources to the job. We would not recommend TNT Moving Services to anyone.
