I offered a shotgun that needs a tax stamp for sale on gunbrokers. I had a buyer in Ohio. He wanted the shotgun sent to Rapid Fire LLC of Troy OH. When the shotgun was sent to Ohio, the buyer refused the weapon. Todd Groves refuses to sign the forms to have approval from the ATF to return my shotgun.This has been ongoing since August of 2009. Mr. Groves refused to answer any phone calls, will not respond to e-mails. It is if has taken the shotgun without paying for it. All ATF rules were followed. If I went into a store and took a gun without paying for it I would be arrested and sent to jail. Rapid Fire LLC is going out of business, selling its stock including machinery. When the buyer of my shotgun refused the shotgun, Mr. Craig Synan,manager of Rapid Fire LLC requested money to ship the shotgun back to me. Money was sent, and Mr. Synan has stopped working for Rapid Fire LLC. I believe the I have been ripped off and I am fighting mad. I have requested help from the ATF and they listen to my story but offer no help.

The truth shall come out, Thelma Smith. First off, let the record show, we never agreed to deal with these people or received any type of compensation for dealing with them.
The Cobray SWD just showed up at our door one day, unannounced. We don't even have a DD license so it was a total surprise to see one show up for transfer. The buyer (our customer) refused the shotgun because you had it listed as a Striker 12 and not a Cobray SWD. You didn't even use pictures of your gun, in the auction, you used photos of a striker 12 you copied from somewhere else. It was also listed as having an 18" barrel and it had less than an 8" barrel when it arrived. You also forgot to mention the hillbilly wooden dowel rod with eye screw you used to replace the ejector rod in the auction too. So looking past your interstate telecommunications fraud on the sale of an NFA firearm, lets see what you did next. You wanted to try to sue our customer that you just committed fraud against!!! I wish I would have not talked you out of this because the law would have caught up with you and now you would be in jail and not spewing more of your lies over the internet. Once you finally understood that it probably wouldn't be to your advantage to sue our customer since you acted criminally in falsely describing your auction, it took you over 3 months to send in a copy of the paperwork that needs to be sent WITH the gun. I have saved the emails where you explain that you had 2 deaths in the family and were on vacation and couldn't be bothered to send in the form on November 19th.
From the beginning it was explained to you that you had three options to get the gun back to you. First, you should attempt to call the BATFE and try to reverse your transfer. After I gave you the NFA branch's phone number a 3rd time they told you it was too late since you took so long. So your next option was to transfer it to a local DD dealer near you. You finally had the dealer (not a DD dealer) send over a copy of his ffl and sot and at that is about when we closed the retail operations at the store and I left. We were really trying to work with you from the start and we never refused to sign anything. It was you who took 3 months to send us the form we needed to know this was actually a registered NFA item. Your final option, which is what I should have done was call our local BATFE office and have them come pick up your gun.
You call this a rip off?? The real rip off was what you tried to do to our customer. Thelma Smith, you are a liar and a criminal and if taken to justice would not be allowed to own any firearms. Bringing my name into it as if I had anything to do with your family issues and vacation keeping you from sending in that form is shameful. Then to post on the Rip off report that we were at fault is disgraceful Thelma Smith.
I still have a file folder with your name on it with a complete history of events and saved emails that if handed over to the proper authorities would put you in quite a pickle to say the least.
It is my understanding that the BATFE has contacted Rapid Fire on this issue and feels that Rapid Fire has not acted criminally and can resume the transfer process when they see fit.
Dragging my name through the mud with your deceitful and libelous accusations is just about what I expected out of people like you, that's why I kept that folder and saved those emails. The facts are all here, its not a matter of opinion. If you had told the truth from the start none of this would have ever happened.
