Painting contractor was working in the building, they took two antique chairs from my basement storage area. They cut them up and used the legs to plug holes in the floor of the apartment that they were working on. We are about 1 mile from a Home Depot, and the workers were too lazy to go and get dowels to use. Instead they took my antique Hitchcock style chairs and destroyed them. Three boxes of vintage comic books, probably over 300 books disapearred at the same time. I confronted the owner, he said he would pay for the chairs. Nothing. After a month I went to the State of CT consumer protection, they said it was a police matter. I went to the police department. They said it was a small claims matter. This guy should honor his word and pay for what his workers took and what they destroyed.
