Tom Edwards Nystrom and Associates Marxist Commissar Masquerades as Psychologist! New Brighton Minnesota
I was court-ordered to attend "family reunification therapy" with a psychiatrist during my divorce in 2009. The court wouldn't let me see my kids until I had completed this, so I chose Nystrom Counciling as they took my insurance and were convenient to get to. That mistake took two years of my life with my kids away from me!
I was assigned to a Cultural Marxist bully-boy by the name of Tom Edwards who thought that his job was to remake me into some new Marxist man. I resisted all of his feeble attempts to install new Marxist ideas into my head. Eventually, as I saw that he was only working against me and on the side of the feminist court System, I left Nystrom Counciling and went to a new therapist and was seeing my kids within six months. Nothing, however, can replace the lost time I wasted at Nystom with this unprofessional Marxist bully-boy.
Tom Edwards has a fake Ph.D. from some school I have never even heard of. And yet he walks around as if he's a "doctor". He thinks he is very wise as he has never been challenged on any level about his own perverse belief system. And the more he pushed, the more I pushed back. Arrogant Cultural Marxist commissars definitely don't like that! In reality, all this guy has is a solid high school education.

Hey, Tom,
I know that's you responding to this report, pretending to be another psychologist, but the arrogance of the letter tells me it's you. Instead of pompously dismissing my comments as "ridiculous" why not address the very real issues, such as your contacting my ex-wife's therapist without my premission and after I had already fired you and your telling untrue things to her in order to try to make my life more difficult? Why not talk about that fake Ph.D. you have from a degree mill that no one has ever heard of? Why not discuss your highly ideological (Marxist) approach to "therapy"? Why not discuss your recent pay cut from $75,000 down to $44,000 working for the State because you couldn't cut it in private practice where the real money is? Because the State WANTS Marxist ideologues like yourself working for them? Your "rebuttal" is flimsy at best.

I've worked with Tom Edwards a lot as a counselor and have found him to be the best that I've personally encountered. He's thorough, thoughtful and great at helping you see the world in a way that promotes healing. I find this write up of him to be ridiculous and have never heard a hint of "Marxism" from him. I highly recommend Tom and if you ever have the need to see him, don't let this negative report throw you off. I would take anything with a grain of salt from some one who is basically ordered by a court to seek help.

Tom Edwards is such a Marxist bully-boy that he even told me that he was going to "break" me! And I was actually supposed to PAY for this "therapy"?! Then he spoke to my ex-wife's therapist without my knowledge or consent. He's not only a totalitarian Marxist, he's unethical. And, by the way, he works now at the nut house in St. Peter, Minnesota because he couldn't handle it in private practice, where you actually have to help and please your clients. He's the type of guy who HAS to work for the State where he has a captive audience and where he has total control.

So the guy complaining about Tom Edwards must be crazy. No I've never met him, but his review speaks for itself. I saw Tom Edwards as a therapist in 2012 and he was the best therapist I've ever had (and I've had a lot). He was wonderful and very educated in the issues I was dealing with.
It's an absolute shame that someone has written this report and that it is what comes up now when you search his name. I've been trying to find where he works now to see if he is taking clients again and that's how I ran across this report. If you're considering Edwards as a therapist, please know he's one of the best. He in no way tries to instill "Marxist" beliefs (lol).
