Tom Mercer, Freight Brokers Institute I paid my fee for the training classes. However Tom failed to complete the class. He contacted the class on one occassion stating that he is setting up an asset base firm he's out of town. He has been setting up this firm since the end of July 2014. Milan Tennessee
I paid my fees for the freight broker agent of 129.00 plus for the software. On August 1, 2014 class was suppose to be held at 7pm. However, Tom the instructor, owner etc. did conduct class. All students were waiting and he did not respond to skype calls, phone calls or emails. Around 8pm that night Tom repond by text through skype that he had to leave town for business and he will hold class on Saturday in the morning on 8/2 around 11:00am. We waited for Tom to come on and he failed to respond.
On Monday August 4, 2014 all of the class was waiting for Tom to respond, no response. Each day after that the class would meet and Tom did not respond. On Wednesday August 6, he texted that he was working on the Carrier Base, informed the students to have a Carrier in place by Monday, August 1, 2014. After July 31, 2014 Tom did not hold anymore classes he only hand pick a select few to contact, then he stopped all communication.
I requested my money back from paypal and they stated I have to go through my financial institution. On 2 occasions he tried to withdrawl automatic payments from a prepaid credit card I used through paypal. He tried to withdrawl from my debit card with my bank but I already blocked access to the card when he went MIA.
Tom is a conartist he steals from honest hard working people. He gives false hopes and disappears. He has taken from many and he hides his face so not reveal himself. Truthfully, we do not know if Tom Mercer is his real name. Everyone needs to get together and file a report against and ban him for working in this field again. I hope the United States Feds, find him and treat him like he did his students.
