on a previous  occasion,  I suspected that my oil filter was not changed.  This time I documented it by marking my filter and photographing it with a date/time stamp.  After having my car in for serviceing, I photographed the filter with a new date time stamp.   The invoice had a date and time in between the two pictures.

I called the Maricopa Sheriffs Office to report this, and the person I talked to almost made me feel like I was the crook.  He said the shop was in business for a long time and wouldn't survive that long by cheating customers.  Tom. the shop owner called me later and told me to return and hey would install a filter,  " no charge" ,  which i had already paid for.

His excuse was that the service person was suffering with diarreah on that day and while in the process he had to go to the restroom.  When he returned he  "forgot" where he wasin the process and skipped the filter change.  My reply was,  " I am d*mn lucky that I have oil in my car.

I told the owner that I would like to compare the number of filters he sells with the number he buys. I am concerned for the many senior customers he has from in the surrounding area comprising of several senior communities.   Many of these people put their trust in the people they deal with only to be ripped off by people like him.
