A man toting a shotgun walked into an administrative building at the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital campus Monday morning and fired a shot during a confrontation with a security guard.Three people received minor injuries during the scuffle. The weapon discharged, firing a bullet into the floor causing it to ricochet off the wall and into the ceiling, according to Keith Jones, Scottsdale Healthcare spokesman.

Other employees have filed suit after founded claims of ramped discrimination against Backs, Hispanics, and suspected homosexuals. Seven such claims have been settled out of court by the EEOC and many more are pending against Scottsdale Healthcare

The Scottsdale City Prosecutor's office is charging 4 people in connection to a sexual assault at a local hospital. All 4 people are charged with failing to report the assault of an incapacitated/vulnerable adult.
According to Scottsdale police, a patient at Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn was sexually assaulted on November 17, however, the victim was incapacitated and therefore unable to report the crime until December 12.
The assault was later reported to police by hospital staff in January. According to detectives, the hospital was conducting it's own internal investigation prior to notifying police.
State law requires medical personnel in charge of 'vulnerable adults' to immediately report suspected abuse to police.
Detectives with the sex crimes unit interviewed staff and the victim but were unable to identify a suspect in the case. They submitted their findings to the prosecutor's office and the decision was made to charge 4 staff members with failing to report the incident.
Those charged include:
53 year-old Susan Livengood of Mesa is the Associate Vice President of Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn
45 year-old Shelly Van Vianen of Phoenix is the Nurse Manager
44 year-old Patricia Crellin of Phoenix is a Psychiatrist as Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn
59 year-old Madlyn Costantino of Tempe is a Rehab Coordinator
All 4 are scheduled to appear in court on May 15.

Thanks legal guy ! My gosh you were right I contacted several newspapers and magazines and they are chomping at the bit to get the story. Some of us contacted the ACLU and they are going to take our complaints and investigate these people

I would like to take the time to share with you my views on this health care system. If you are thinking about becoming an employee WARNING TO YOU. Scottsdale Healthcare is not a place you would even want to consider ! Just check with the EEOC and see the list of complaints and settlements made on behalf of former employees. From racism, hostile work environments and unfavorable working conditions this place is off the hook. Being a patent here may not be a very good idea either log into fox phoenix news and type in Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital Rape. A woman was raped in the hospital at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, the rape wasn't reported to police for almost a month while hospital officials attempted a mass cover up. Outcome was that employees were charged criminally and convictions were handed down by the court. Hospital Security taunted an unstable man who returned and fired rounds in the hospital with a shotgun injuring one person. This facility in my opinion is not only unsafe and a hostile place to work it is loaded with corruption. you can go to my3cents.com and read horror stories about shady billing practices and CitySearch and read about mass discrimination of minority employees. So if your thinking about becoming a patient or an employee I would think twice about Scottsdale Healthcare as in my opinion it is truly a rip off and not a good place to be. Trust me I know first hand I use to work there.

Thanks for posting guys these people should be exposed for who they really are. I have seen some post's on Citysearch as well. This hospital is a bad place to work and is a RIP OFF !
