The salesman (Jim Jackett) told us that the Jeep we were looking at came with both the hard top on the the jeep and a soft top, because it was the freedom edition. When we signed the deal it was after 8:00 PM. The salesman told us the soft top was stored in the parts dept, which was already closed, but he would get it for us the next day and we could pick it up that evening. I called him to make sure he had done this and was transferred to the sales manager (Chris Taylor)who told me that the Jeep did not come with the 2 tops and they would not be honoring the salesmans word.

We were also sold this Jeep without the MSRP sticker being on or in the vehicle. I did however find a computer generated report in the door panel that has the VIN number of my Jeep on it and it does list "Dual Top" as well as many other parts and features on my vehicle.

I have contacted every "Consumer Advocate" I can think of including all of the local newspapers and TV stations. They have not been of any help other than listing the dispute on their website. As soon as the dealer responds with any lame excuse they wash their hands and say sorry we can't be of any other help.

The latest rebuttal they offer is that the Texas Dept of Transportation visited the dealership and they found them to be in no violation. Which this is a false statement, because the letter I received from TxDOT states that they were in fact given a warning that they would be cited the next time they sold a new vehicle without the MSRP. This is a Federal Law that all new vehicles must have this sticker.

I have talked to everyone I can think of but this still remains unresolved. The owner of the dealership will not even respond to a phone call or letter.
