*Consumer Comment: Same thing happened to me

I purchases 3 camera batteries from their eBay store that did not arrive. I communicated this to them and they offered to send replacements using tracking. They stressed that it would be resolved and asked me not to lodge a dispute on eBay. Foolishly I believed them and did not lodge a dispute. I was happy with this and offered to pay the extra if the original batteries. However as well as not sending my original order they did not send the replacements using registered post. I have written off my purchase and obtained the batteries from an honest business instead. This is the first time I have been ripped off by a dishonest eBay seller in many years!

I purchased 4 gazebo tents from Tom top, through eBay. One (1) tent was shipped, after confirming with FedEx that only one item was shipped, I immediately contacted the seller through eBay receipt. I advised of the discrepancy and requested that the missing 3 items be shipped. Several emails with unrelated requests as well as duplicative requests were sent over several weeks from seller (Tom top). I then asked eBay to step in and essentially thier response was (to work it out with Tom top). I persisted and responde to all of thier ridiculous questions and requested and then requested a refund as the event I had purchased the tents for two months in advance had passed. Tom top finally responded with an almost relevant email and asked if they could ship (two months after ordering). I requested a refund and they refused. I againg contacted eBay and they immediately responded that the seller advised that the seller advised that they resolved the matter with me, which was totally erroneous. I then appealed to eBay and they again denied by appeal. I called ebay customer care line and they said they would open a claim and if not resolved by (three more weeks), then I should contact them again! I left a negative feed back stating that "I purchased 4, one was shipped and ebay and tom top refused refund". Ebay immediately notified me that they removed my "negative feedback as being inaccurate"?? The following week I received an email from Tom top sales department which stated "that they would offer me a refund if I left a 5 star review on eBay first". I replied that I was entitled to a refund and that they were essentially blackmailing me into a refund. The same office replied that it was a "legitimate offer if I wanted my refund"!

I would highly recommend steering clear of any business with this unethical company.
