What makes filing this report difficult is that a family friend had referred this auto mechanic to us.

We reviewed other reviews on this repair shop and there were no major complaints so we took a chance.

We took our import to this location and was assisted by lead Mechanic Robert. The location is hidden behind a Seven/Eleven on 35th Ave. & Camelback Rd.

The original diagnostic from Rob was that two fuel rods required replacement and that he suggested that if he went to replace the two that we should replace the other rods which price totaled $1200.00. (A classic sign for a second opinion).

The vehicle didn't have any other issues with exception to rattling of front engine compartment.

After a week and half of keeping the vehicle we picked the vehicle up and it was emitting white

smoke from the tailpipes. We again returned the vehicle and requested that this new issue

be handled. The vehicle was diagnosed again and now the new issue was a crankshaft requiring

a replacement for a whopping $650.00.

This was the end of the line for us. Commonsense kicked in. We scheduled the vehicle for a

diagnositic with a ASE certified import repair shop. The ASE certified shop quoted us a price of $460

using OEM parts. I had requested that the vehicle be ready for our pick-up and the Owner of the

shop John Nguyen asked us what was the issue. We told him everything that was stated above. Having

the vehicle and misdiagnosing it. Quoting a price that was out of line with a ASE certified shop.

The Owner John attempted to correct the price difference to $400 from $650 knowing that his classic overcharging was caught. If you read this report we are not submitting information in malicious even though we were priced gauged by this backyard mechanic.

We suggest that if you bring your vehicle to this shop that you are aware they are not ASE certified and that you will not receive the best care for an import. We have no idea the expertise they have for domestics.

The ASE certified repair shop provided the actual issues that were not properly fixed and the parts that were not new that were used.

We are pursuing a civil claim to recoup the amount for Tony's AAA Auto Repair removing a seatbelt holder in rear seat and the amount charged for not replacing all fuel rods with new parts as promised and lead to believe.
